Batteries store a limited amount of power, while generators produce power at a certain rate. Power - Every weapon, shield, thruster, ect. Certain parts are specifically designed to be lighter, but usually cost more and/or are less effective (example: batteries, fighter armor). Every part added to your ship adds weight, especially hull armor. Weight - Effects your speed and turn rate, countered with wings and thrusters. Some of the limitations in ship design are: Different types of thrusters fit different ship styles. Different weapons mounts provide a balance between effectiveness and cost (360 degree mount opposed to a 180 degree mount). Weapons range from close range, low damage laser beams, to long distance homing rockets. You are given parts that you are allowed to place however and wherever you want on your ship, and are allowed up to 10 designs per fleet. You can design your ships in any shape, style or fashion that you want. ![]() You are 100% in charge of creating your fleet to fit your playstyle. You can totally make a very robust lineup with a strong set of ships that have a counter for every kind of ship and many options available to you.
